What UK Sex Toys is, and how we decide what to stock

Most adult retailers tell you nothing about themselves. There's a reason for that — the category has spent decades being slightly embarrassed — but the effect is that you're asked to hand over a card number and a home address to an entity you know nothing about. That's a bad trade, and it's the reason this page exists.

That is the whole of it. We are not a marketplace reselling other people's listings, and we are not a dropshipping front — the catalogue is a stocked, curated range of around 1,100 products across ten departments.

The stocking rules

We turn products down. These are the rules we apply, in the order we apply them.

1. Every insertable anal product has a flared base or a retrieval loop. No exceptions, no "it's a designer piece", no soft suction discs. The rectum draws objects inward and cannot be relied on to give them back. Retrieval is a hospital problem, and it is completely preventable at the point of buying. This is the rule we say no to the most products over.

2. Materials are non-porous or they don't come in. Body-safe silicone, borosilicate glass, anodised aluminium, ABS. No jelly, no TPR that smells of solvent, no soft PVC with plasticiser that leaches. Porous materials cannot be properly cleaned, and something that cannot be cleaned is something that holds bacteria between uses. 3. Water rating has to be stated accurately. "Waterproof", "submersible", "splashproof", "splash resistant" and "wipe clean only" are five different things and they are filterable on every department page. A charging port killed by a rinse the listing implied was fine is a return we'd rather not process and you'd rather not need.

4. Noise gets tested, not assumed. Frequency matters more than volume — a high-pitched buzz carries through plasterboard where a low rumble at the same decibel level dies within a metre. Products that pass go into Quiet by Design. The reasoning is in quiet toys and thin walls.

5. Sizing on lingerie is real sizing. The lingerie range runs across 432 pieces and is built around adjustable, size-inclusive cuts rather than a single "one size" that fits a narrow band of people and nobody else. Sizes run from standard through 1X, 2X, 3X and beyond, and the size chart is per-item because manufacturers do not agree with each other. See lingerie sizing.

What we sell

Delivery and packaging

Free standard delivery on orders over £50.

What we won't do

We won't pretend a specification is better than it is. If a toy is splash resistant, the page says splash resistant, and our guides repeat what that means, because "resistant" gets read as "proof" by almost everybody.

We won't recommend numbing products for pain. Pain during penetration is information. Numbing it means you discover the injury afterwards. The answer is a smaller size, more lubricant, and more time.

We won't sell anal products without a base. Covered above, and it's worth saying twice.

We won't make health claims we can't stand behind. Kegel balls are a prompt to exercise, not a treatment. Dilators are a tool people use, often alongside a pelvic health physiotherapist, not a cure. Where a product sits near a clinical use, our guides say so and point you to a GP.
